Installation osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2
osCommerce's feature packed out-of-the-box installation allows store owners to setup,
run, and maintain their online stores with minimum effort and with no costs involved.
osCommerce combines open source solutions to provide a free and open development
platform, which includes the powerful PHP web scripting language, the stable Apache
web server, and the fast MySQL database server.
With no restrictions or special requirements, osCommerce can be installed on any PHP3
or PHP4 enabled web server, on any environment that PHP and MySQL supports, which
includes Linux, Solaris, BSD, and Microsoft Windows environments.
New Installation
Upload the catalog directory to your server using FTP.
All PHP files must be uploaded in ASCII mode, not binary mode.
The structure of osCommerce is:
catalog
catalog/admin
extras
Upload the catalog folder which includes the admin folder to your document root
(public_html, www, htdocs) using FTP.
Using phpMyAdmin or another tool, create your database and user, and assign that user
to the database. Write down the name of the database, username, and password for this
database for the database installation procedure.
Open your web browser and go
The following instructions will guide you to configuring the online store for your server.
But as in this example we try on the local host, so download the package eCommerce-osCommerce 2.2rc2a (file size 2.24 MB) http://www.oscommerce.com we extract from the root to the document folderC: \ xampp \ htdocs , please create a new name for the directory that has diextract missal: eCommerceStore or Online Store.
By using phpMyAdmin or other tool, create a database and user, and the user entered into the database.
Open your web browser (Firefox, IE, etc.) and typing http://Nama Server / catalog / install / and click on the Install button.

Learning Management System with Moodle

virtualize 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems on machines with Intel and AMD processors,
either in software or with hardware virtualization.
you can find for more detail in here , last version is 2.1.4 virtual box can be installed on Windows or Linux Platform, I used on my Axioo Notebook Windows XP SP2 with spec Processor Intel Dual Core 2 GHz, RAM 1 GB, after you download installer, we can follow the step wizard in simple steps just next :D
I am try create new Virtual machine to install fedora Core 9, the default VM offered 8 GB for Virtual Hardisk size but we can resize the memory, remember when we allocated the memory, its mean we share physical memory(RAM) beetween Host(ie XP) and guest O/S in VM fedora, but dont worry if we not turn on Guest O/S the shared memory still used by host.
So dont wasted time you can try this tools and make some practice to know about Linux, Open Solaris, or you want to add another M$ Windows O/S, sorry for my english, i just try to learn how to write in english :D
